Who is Sage Doors Ltd?
Sage Doors Ltd is the combination of 3 roller door manufacturing companies’ expertise, with over 105 years of experience between them – Sage, Trident Doors Ltd, and just recently, Woodn’t It Doors Ltd. We here at Sage have been making roller doors in Auckland for the last 55 years, with the present owner, John Posthuma, operating the business since 1981.

Trident Doors was started up in 1990 by Murray Nattrass, and their roller doors quickly became well-known for their quality workmanship and ease of installation. When Murray decided to sell the business in 2007, John purchased Trident, renaming the company Sage Doors Ltd and moving production from Napier up to our factory in Auckland.
After building special machinery to increase efficiency and developing a new track and bracket system to make our doors easier to install and operate, we at Sage Doors decided to also purchase Woodn’t It Roll Shutter Doors. In October, 2010, we moved all production over to our factory in Albany, Auckland.
What are goals we try to achieve for our customers?
We understand that our customers are often working to tight timeframes. We realize that it is vitally important to you:
-
to get quick quotes
-
to be kept informed as to when your roller door is due to be dispatched
-
to receive the roller door on time
-
to receive quality roller doors every time so you can install them quickly and easily and get on with the next job
We have implemented Lean Manufacturing strategies at Sage Doors to get rid of the old “batch” mentality and to ensure orders move smoothly and quickly through our factory, resulting in a faster turnaround time for you. With our present setup, our average lead time is 4 working days for single sided doors, but if we have a particularly urgent order and have the slats in stock, we can often send the doors out the next day. Have a look at our Ordering Info for more details on how we work.
If at any time you want to check which stage your door is at, please feel free to phone or email as we’re here to help.
