What makes our roller doors so special?

Sage Doors Ltd have developed 7 new innovations which make their roller doors easier to install and easier to operate, perfect for any situation.

1. New roller door track design means no more biscuiting fascia or dropping screws

Sage Doors’ new roller door track is specifically designed to be easier to install with an extra flange allowing your fascia to be screwed on through a single layer of aluminium. Enjoy the ease of screwing your fascia and forget any memories of biscuiting fascia.

2. Unique new Spiral Roller gives anti-bump protection.

The unique shape of our new back roller ensures each slat rolls gently over the other slats in a smooth action with no bumps. Without this feature, you hear a slight "bump" every time the slats roll onto the starting point.

3. New bracket for quicker installation

Carefully designed to make installation easier, the new bracket slots into the track to ensure correct placement without using templates and is designed to allow you to fit the roller door in one simple horizontal motion from the back. You can now also slot the front idle roller in even after screwing the tracks and brackets in place, and a special design feature stops the door jamming over the top of the idle roller as you slide the door into the tracks. Another in-built feature ensures the felt pile doesn't ride up the tracks.

4. New bar handle option

Available in anodized aluminium or made to match your door material, this durable option gives a stylish yet unobtrusive look and allow you to keep clean lines running right throught the job. We supply it complete with an aluminium backing plate behind the door to provide strength and rigidity. If your door is made out of Melteca or Melamine, the bar handle will have the same Melteca/Melamine on the top and bottom edges, matching 2mm PVC on the front edge, and a solid core - a very robust combination. We still also make routed handles as required to match older-style kitchens, but our new bar handle or a blank hand rail are currently our two most popular options.

5. Double roller system for all door sizes

A double roller system spreads the door’s weight evenly over its full width, preventing it from sagging and enabling the door to roll exceptionally smoothly. An additional benefit is that the backing fabric is less likely to wear because there is less tension at the edge of the door than if the roller door was scraping over a plastic glide.

6. O rings on front roller for quietness

We fit your front roller with O rings which dampen sound for an optimum quiet roll.

7. Air cushion effect

A layer of felt pile added to the back of your door creates an air cushion effect as the door rolls up, making it sound quieter and feel smoother.

These 7 innovations make Sage Doors a compelling choice for your roller door needs.
